Day 1: USA / Reykjavik

Make your way to your local international airport for your flights to Reykjavik, Iceland.

Day 2: Arrive Reykjavik

Arrive into Reykjavik this morning and proceed through customs and immigration, No visa required. You will be privately met and transferred to your hotel where you can store your luggage with reception as it is too early to check in. Here you will also use the public facilities to freshen up after your long flight. If you need more than an hour, let the guide know.

From here you will begin your full day tour of the city. First stop is a visit the iconic church Hallgriomskirkja,  Hallgrímskirkja church is Reykjavík’s main landmark and its tower can be seen from almost everywhere in the city. Continue to the National Museum of Iceland – A stroll through this Museum will enlighten us on the heritage and the history of the country. After the museum, your guide will take an hour to walk you through some parts of the capital city, perhaps near the City Hall where you can view what was once a couple of farms and evolved into the capital city of Reykjavik. The guide will end the morning at a local downtown eatery where you can recharge your batteries with some typical Icelandic lunch on your own account. This afternoon, continue with our visit to the capital city with an hour’s stop at the Reykjavik art Museum where one can have a glimpse of the emerging artists in Iceland. The Hand knitting Association of Iceland is one of the most popular places to pick up unique woolen clothing – Ladies and Men’s sweaters, Icelandic blankets, knitting supplies and plans or curios.

Day 3: The Golden Circle

After breakfast, meet your guide to begin a full day of driving the Golden Circle by private car.

During this full day visit, your guide will organize stops for washroom breaks, coffee, and a typical lunch on your own account during the day. Enjoy a walk through Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park. Geysir Hot Spring Area. A favorite stop along the Golden Circle is the highly active Geysir Hot Spring Area. Gullfoss Waterfall: Gullfoss Waterfall is actually two separate waterfalls, the upper one has a drop of 11 meters and the lower one 21 meters. The rock of the river bed was formed during an interglacial period. From here you will begin your return drive to Reykjavik. Speaking with your guide throughout the day and depending on time and weather, your guide may suggest other short stops for spectacular views or historical points along your drive.

Day 4: Blue Lagoon

Morning at your leisure

In the afternoon at 2:00pm, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to Blue Lagoon for a special visit to the thermal bathing location. For VIP guests, we have reservations to have a private change and shower room along with use of the separate 12 person exclusive lounge which you share with other guests. Pack a swimsuit in a carryon bag.

Day 5: Reykjavik / USA

After a hearty breakfast, bid farewell as your holiday in comes to an end. Take a private transfer to the Reykjavik airport and check in for your flight to the USA. On arrival you will clear US immigration and connect to your flight home.
