Cultural Vacations has been building a tradition in international travel for the past 27 years, when our directors began operating tours to remote parts of the world whose inhabitants have had little contact with today's high-tech civilization. Our approach is unique: we set out to offer guests the same intriguing travel experiences we ourselves have known -- unusual, participatory experiences that appeal to the varied interests of individual travelers, couples, families, and small groups with special interests. We dedicate ourselves to taking care of the hundreds of details that make up a first class vacation, and promise our guests the highest standards of luxury and personalized service, even far off the beaten path. Above all, our tours are about choice, from intrepid wildlife safaris to "spoil-me-rotten" getaways to the ultimate name-dropping places, from comfortable introductory tours of strange lands, to family programs with special features that teach more about the world, such as visits to local schools.
We have priced our tours to include nearly everything: uncommon sightseeing excursions, first-rate accommodations and transport, meals prepared by skilled chefs, expert guides, entrance fees, porterage, and thorough planning assistance. We also guarantee our departures and limit our tours to a small number of participants. For spirited, sophisticated travelers, these extraordinary tours delve into the most fascinating traditions of the past. We invite you to join us and will do our utmost to satisfy every expectation on these unusual adventures.

Our family of seasoned travelers includes the following staff:
The President
Long-time Asia and Africa expert Roger began traveling and exploring 3 decades ago. Throughout his life, the beauty and excitement of the distant lands beckoned him to the ever remote corners of the continent. With Asia and Africa as his focus, he perfected his tours and the enthusiasm of his travel guests encouraged hin to continue exploring and expanding into new territories of this endlessly fascinating part of the world. There aren’t many who have the tour operating experience he draws upon so freely from his years of experience.
Director of Operations
Shamira is her husband’s partner in Cultural Vacations in every sense. Not only does she know the travel buisiness intimately from her decades-long career with prominent airlines and travel agencies but she is also incredibly dedicated to personally overseeing all our operations. She is amazingly talented at seeing that the personal attention and care that characterize the Cultural Vacations & Safaris experience are delivered by the local staff wherever our travelers go.
The Future President
Sean is as much at home hiking with a Sherpa as he is walking to school. He is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable traveler who began mapping out our family vacations at age 7. He has distinguished himself amongst his collage friends as a first rate explorer with a goldmine of stories to tell
Director in Waiting
Michael likes to walk up front on the trail with the guide and is the first to spot animals – by imitating their cries he soon has a kind of animal conversation going on. He is our constant reminder that a vacation is about having fun. His spirit of adventure and excitement beckon, and we follow.
Special Assistant to the President
David loves to dine al fresco so he can chase the monkeys away from the breakfast table but he is always ready to sneak portions of his meal under the table to the resident housepet. He helps us to see the incredible small delights of the world we explore together from the joy of sharing a toy with newfound friends to the beauty of an irridescent little bug along the trail.
Special Assistant to the Special Assistant
Matthew has joined the gang and keeps his eye on the Special Assistant to make sure he gets his fare share of Special Assistant Benefits. He hasn’t quite figured out what all the ruckus is about when it is time for travel but if the Special Assistant says it’s ok, by golly then it’s ok for the assistant to the special assistant too. He’ll let us know later what all the attributes of a world wide assistant to the special assistant are ! He says he will post his views of the world a little later.
