8 Days visiting London, the coast line and cultural icons of England

  • Upon arrival to London, private transfer to your hotel.
  • Full day private tour using the tube with your guide  : Your guide will suggest you a personalized itinerary, also will discuss with your your particular interests to be included your your tour.
  • Full day at your leisure in London. You could walk to British Museum and see some of its unique exhibits: the Rosetta Stone, used to unlock the mystery of ancient languages, or the Elgin Marbles, that use to adorn the Parthenon in Athens.
  • Full day for sightseeing tour: Stonehenge and The dramatic South Dorset Coast. After visit to the mystic neolithic standing stone circle of Stonehenge, you will proceed to Dorset coast to enjoy panoramic views over white sandy beaches and the natural rock arch of Durdle Door.
  • Next day you will explore the magnificent wilderness of Dartmoor, the ancient “Clapper Bridge” at Postbridge and the historic market town of Tavistock, home to Sir Francis Drake.
  • The next stop in the tour will be in Glastonbury – a lovely old market town. Glastonbury Tor rises high above the town and has mythical connections with King Arthur and Avalon.
  • Continue your tour  to Bath for lunch and an afternoon of exploring and sightseeing in a town full of relics of its Roman past and of course its famous bath. The abbey is also well worth a visit.

Make your way to your local international airport for your flights to London, England.

Day 2: Arrive London

Arrive at Heathrow Airport. After clearing immigration and customs, meet your driver, waiting in the Arrival Hall. Private car transfer to your London hotel.

Day 3: London

Full day private tour using the tube with your guide.

After breakfast, meet you guide in the hotel lobby. She will briefly discuss with you your interests and suggest a personalized itinerary, so you can make the most of your day. Take full advantage of your guide and ask her whatever questions you have about London and the UK.   By using public transport (underground/subway and busses) and walking you will move about the city to the various locations you want to see.

Day 4: London

Full day at your leisure.

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day, free for independent visits or shopping!

You could walk to British Museum and see some of its unique exhibits: the Rosetta Stone, used to unlock the mystery of ancient languages, or the Elgin Marbles, that use to adorn the Parthenon in Athens…  A short stroll will take you to Covent Garden: once the fruit and vegetable market, is now a pedestrian area full of elegant boutiques, quirky shops and bars & restaurants. The ideal place to get gifts and souvenirs to bring home with you.

Day 5: Stonehenge / Dorset Coast / Exeter

Day 1 of 3 – Seat in coach tour

After breakfast make your own way to Victoria coach station, for the departure of your sightseeing tour: Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Bath and the Southwest Coast

 

Depart London and travel out through the old Kingdom of Wessex to the most famous Neolithic standing stone circle of Stonehenge. Having explored this mystical place, your tour will continue to the dramatic south Dorset Coast enjoying panoramic views over white sandy beaches and the natural rock arch of Durdle Door. An afternoon here to explore some of the coast before arriving at the historic city of Exeter, which was the most south westerly fortified settlement of the ancient Roman empire. You are based here for 2 nights.

Day 6: Dartmoor / Postbridge / Tavistock

Day 2 of 3 – Seat in coach tour

Your morning is spent exploring the magnificent wilderness of Dartmoor, the ancient “Clapper Bridge” at Postbridge and the historic market town of Tavistock, home to Sir Francis Drake. Return to Exeter in the early afternoon to explore this Roman town, with its underground passages, ancient walls, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and its famous 12th century Norman Cathedral.

Day 7: Glastonbury / Climb the Tor / Bath / London

After breakfast, check out and continue touring.

Today you head first to Glastonbury – a lovely old market town. Glastonbury Tor rises high above the town and has mythical connections with King Arthur and Avalon. Climb the Tor for a spectacular view across three counties or explore the town center with its many independent shops. You then continue on to Bath for lunch and an afternoon of exploring and sightseeing in a town full of relics of its Roman past and of course its famous bath. The abbey is also well worth a visit. From here we return to London after three wonderfully varied days visiting the best of South West England.

After breakfast, check out.

A private car transfer with take you to Heathrow Airport in time for your return flight home – Bon Voyage!!
