One of the highlights of the monastery complex is the pharmacy which has been dispensing medicine continuously since 1317. It is the third oldest pharmacy in Europe and the first that was open to the general public.

After visiting the Franciscan Monastery, You will visit the Assumption Cathedral.  This cathedral was built on the site of several former cathedrals, including 7th, 10th and 11th century buildings and their 12th century successor in the Romanesque style.

Your first standout sight is the Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage–listed landmark and one of Europe’s southernmost fjords. Look out over the butterfly-shaped bay from the comfort of your coach, and soak up the views of the water, flanked romantically by mountains, hills and a number of pretty settlements, too.

Continue to beautiful Kotor, a UNESCO-listed town and your first stop of the day. You will leave Dubrovnik in the morning, roughly four hours north. Sit back and relax as you travel, admiring the gorgeous coastal scenery while chatting with your guide about the places you want to see. Your itinerary is flexible and your driver will happily fulfill your request (time permitting).

Stretch your legs on a walking tour of the center. The coastal town’s A-list attraction is Diocletian Palace – an incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site that nearly encompasses the town. Originally built as an ornate home for Emperor Diocletian, the palace became a city in its own right as more buildings were added to it throughout the ages.

Stroll around Peristyle Square within the palace grounds, listening to tales about the extravagant Emperor Diocletian while seeing sights like the Cathedral of St Duje with its magnificent bell tower. Pose for photos next to the Temple of Jupiter – a beautifully preserved Roman monument – and then head out of the palace grounds to discover the rest of Split’s delights.

Stop to rub the foot of the Gregory of Nin Statue for luck, and then amble over to Republic Square (Prokurative), a Mediterranean-style plaza lined with elaborate Neo-Renaissance buildings. Hear about the concerts and cultural events that take place here.

After your tour of Split, your private driver will transfer you to the pier where you will board your private yacht.  You will sail the breathtaking coast of Croatia for the next four days. Upon embarkation on your yacht, you will be at leisure for rest and relaxation.

Day 6. Wed. Split / Brac Island.

This morning, your yacht will make its way to Brac Island.  On your way to Brac Island, enjoy the beautiful sights as you hug the coast.

The island of Brač is the highest and third largest island in the Adriatic Sea. The island is well known for its quality stone used to build many palaces. This is the island with the only stone mason school in Croatia. Built with Brač stone, facing the sun and the sunrise, protected from the harsh winds and refreshed by the summer afternoon breeze of the maestral, Milna is a calming haven for both people and boats.

This miniature oasis of Mediterranean culture is situated at the base of a deep bay at the south-westernmost point on the island of Brač, and is protected from the elements and anxiety of modern life. It is a village that has a rich fishing, maritime and wine growing history evoked in the captain’s palaces and fishermen’s and peasant houses. The nearby marinas and the wonderful sea are a true paradise for sailors and lovers of the sea depths.

After a full day at leisure relaxing or exploring on your own, you will return to your ship and anchor out at sea nearby the coast enjoying the sights and sunset.

Overnight:  Lagoon 440 – Ennea (4 Cabin Catamaran Yacht | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7. Thu. Brac Island / Hvar    (Cruising The Shores of Croatia).

This morning, your yacht will make its way Hvar.  On your way to Hvar, enjoy the beautiful sights as you hug the coast.

South of Brač lies Hvar, the longest island in the Adriatic. This is an island of vineyards, olive groves and lavender. Hvar is without a doubt an exceptional island. It is characterized by pleasant winter and summer resorts, mild climate and abundant subtropical vegetation.
The centre of the sunniest Croatian island of the same name – Hvar is a unique blend of luxurious Mediterranean natural surroundings, layer upon layer of a rich cultural and historical heritage and sophisticated tourism.

Located in picturesque natural surroundings on the south side of the island, surrounded by mighty medieval walls, magical fields and the scent of lavender, Hvar is a never-ending treasure of monumental heritage, culture and atmospheres. Its name originates from the word PHAROS – the Greek name for the island of Hvar and the town which was formerly in the place of the present Stari Grad (the Old Town) from which it took over the title as island centre in the 13th century.

From its castle Španjol, high above the town, majestic views open up over the green Pakleni otoci (the Hell Islands) (ACI Marina Palmižana) and the open sea. The main city square in front of the cathedral by the Arsenal and the oldest European theatre from the 17th century are a favorite gathering place for tourists. Many museums hide valuable works of art (The Last Supper from the 15th century in the dining room of the Franciscan Monastery) and the Benedictine Monastery, famous for its lace making from agave fibres, is often visited.

After a full day at leisure relaxing or exploring on your own, you will return to your ship and anchor out at sea nearby the coast enjoying the sights and sunset.

Overnight:  Lagoon 440 – Ennea (4 Cabin Catamaran Yacht | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 8. Fri. Hvar / Vis       (Cruising The Shores of Croatia)

The farthest island of middle Dalmatia is Vis, famous for its clear sea and protected underwater world, rich in sunken ships and miraculous flora and fauna. Due to a large number of hidden bays, oases of peace which are hard to reach, it is a real paradise for sailors.

Vis is a historical monument in its entirety because of the many preserved facilities (remnants of the Antique town of Issa, Roman spa, Issa necropolis, summer houses, churches, Tito’s cave).

From Komiža, the famous fishing village, a marvelous view opens up towards the most distant Adriatic islands of Palagruža, Saint Andrew and Biševo, where the beautiful Modra spilja (Blue Cave) emits a strong blue color because of the play of light.

The town of Vis, on the northern side of the island, is located in a wide peaceful bay, where sailors gladly drop anchor. This is exactly where Dalmatia’s most important town, the Greek colony of Issa, was situated in 4th century B.C. Vis is also known for its gastronomic delicacies – the Vis anchovy scone (viška pogača) and Vis bread (viški hlib), a delicacy dating back to Antique times and made of figs.

Later this afternoon, after visiting Vis, you will re-board your ship and set sail back to Split.  Upon arrival to Split, you will anchor out nearby and enjoy your final night aboard your yacht.

Overnight:  Lagoon 440 – Ennea (4 Cabin Catamaran Yacht | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

This morning, enjoy your final breakfast aboard your yacht.  After breakfast, secure your luggage and disembark your yacht.  You will be met at the pier by your private driver for assistance with your luggage and transfer to Plitvice Lakes National Park.  The drive will take about three hours.  Enjoy driving through the countryside as you make your way to Plitvice National Park.  You have the opportunity to ask your driver to stop for photos while en-route.

Upon arrival to Plitvice Lakes National Park, you will break for lunch (paid direct, on your own account).  After lunch, you will proceed on a fantastic tour of Plitvice National Park with your private guide.

Within the boundaries of this heavily forested national park, 16 crystalline lakes tumble into each other via a series of waterfalls and cascades. The mineral-rich waters carve through the rock, depositing tufa in continually changing formations. Clouds of butterflies drift above the 18km of wooden footbridges and pathways which snake around the edges and under and across the rumbling water.

If you’ve got limited time, the upper lake section can be completed in two hours. The lower section takes about three, although we recommend that you start with the bus ride and end with the boat to save yourself a climb.
