Once arrived to Saigon you will  be welcomed by our representative and privately transferred to your hotel for check in. You will be offered a welcome drink and the tour briefings in the hotel lobby. Then check in the hotel.

Day 3. Wed. Saigon.

In the afternoon, enjoy a private tour of Saigon. Begin the trip into modern history with a tour of the Reunification Palace. Formerly the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, this 60s style building was famously stormed by tanks on April 30, 1975 signifying the fall of South Vietnam. It has been preserved in its original state, and the original tanks remain on display near the entrance gates.  Proceed to pay a quick visit to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Pass by the classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate City, the old Opera House. Finish your day visiting visit the Central Ben Thanh Market, where vendors display a vast array of goods and handicrafts, appealing to every taste.

Day 4. Thu. Saigon.

Tour of Cui Chi Tunnels outside Saigon during the morning and visit the secret bunker house tunnel located inside Saigon during afternoon. Never discovered by American forces, the Cu Chi Tunnels were an important Vietcong base during the American War. From the bunker visit, next stop is to a gallery of emerging artists. The Tudor Gallery or the Particular gallery The guide will pick one and you will have a 30 minute stop to enjoy the artwork of the not yet famous but emerging artists of Saigon. At the end of the day there will be  enough free time for you to shop for some souvenirs or just return to the hotel.

Day 6. Sat. Siem Reap.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Once there you are welcomed by our local guide, then transfer you to hotel for check in. Visit to the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang (“The Royal Baths” was once used or ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake) and Preah Khan temple, Built by the King Jayavarman VII.

Day 7. Sun. Siem Reap.

After breakfast start your very special day in Siem Reap exploring some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. Visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King for a full day visit.

Day 8. Mon. Battambang.

After breakfast this morning you will check out of your hotel and be driven 3 hours away to Battambang. Washroom breaks along the way. On arrival you will check into your hotel and enjoy Lunch on your own account. After lunch break, your guide will meet you and take you on a tour. Battambang is at the cutting edge of Cambodia’s new art scene. Perhaps at the core of the city’s artistic revival is the visual arts center Phare Ponleu Selpak. The sprawling arts school teaches visual, applied and performing arts, provides a formal state education curriculum for almost 1,000 students.

Day 9. Tue. Battambang.

You will be met and escorted on a tour of the Art Galleries: The order of the visits today will be discussed with the guide who may also add some other galleries as you proceed around Battambang this morning. The following are a sample of the visits:

• Sammaki – (meaning “solidarity” in Khmer) was established in 2011 by Mao Soviet and a group of expats living in Battambang. It is now supported by local NGO Cambodian Children’s Trust. Sammaki shows work from young and emerging artists, many of whom have graduated from Phare Ponleu Selpak, the same school known for its circus grads.
• Studio Arts Battambang was established last year by local artist Roeun Sokhom. It is not only an art gallery, but also serves as a studio where artists can come together to create their work, as well as to exchange ideas.
• Lotus Bar and Gallery opened in October 2013. As the gallery does not receive any outside funding, the bar and restaurant were established to fund the gallery.

Day 10. Wed.

You will be privately transferred to  Siem Reap airport to take your short flight to Danang-Vietnam.  The driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. After Check-in the rest of the day will be at your leisure.

Day 11. Thu. Hoi An.

You will enjoy a half day walking tour of the old city. Hoi An is a picturesque riverside town south of Da Nang. Known as Faifo to early western traders, it was one of South East Asia’s major international ports during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Now, this beautifully preserved historic city is best seen on foot.

Today’s walking tour will start with a visit to the Japanese Covered Bridge Pagoda. The bridge was constructed in 1593 by the Japanese community of Hoi An to link the town with the Chinese quarters across the stream.

Next, you will visit the Sa Huynh Museum which is located near the Japanese Covered Bridge.  This museum contains exhibitions from the earliest period of Hoi An’s history. Following your visit to the Sa Huynh Museum, you will visit the Tran Family Chapel.  This house for worshipping ancestors was built about 200 years ago with donations from family members. Your final visit will be to the Lantern Making Workshop.  Enjoy visiting one of the traditional lantern workshops in Hoi An.

 Day 12. Fri. Hanoi.

This morning aftrer breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in Danang. Once arrived and After Check-In you will enjoy an interesting tour of the capital city of Vietnam – Hanoi.  Although it is the modern-day capital of Vietnam, Hanoi still retains the mystery and charm of past centuries. Narrow lanes and traditional shop houses invite you to explore the city by walking.   The private guide will start with touring the vast Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum which contains the embalmed body of Ho Chi. View the outside of the Presidential Palace and then stroll through the park to Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1958 until his final days in 1969.

Continue to the miniature 11th century One Pillar Pagoda which was rebuilt after being destroyed by the French in 1954, and then to the Temple of Literature with its walled courtyards and graceful gateways.

Day 13. Sat. Hanoi.

This morning we continue our visit to the capital city with a visit to the famous Huc Bridge, followed by the Ngoc Son Temple on a small island in the Hoan Kiem Lake (The most famous lake and the symbol of Ha Noi). Continue to the rickshaw boarding point where we board a private rickshaw and ride through the old streets of Hanoi with our guide following in his or her rickshaw. An hour riding on the rickshaw is relaxing as we glide through the town and we get a wonderful perspective of the architecture along the way. View the Hanoi Hilton – Hoa Lo Prison – The nickname of the prisoner of war building in Hanoi capital is jokingly referred to as the Hanoi Hilton by the prisoners of the Vietnam War. On our way back to the hotel, we will stop by the Museum to view the exhibits at the prison and then head to the hotel for some free time for a lunch break.

After your visit to the Temple of Literature, you will visit Ba Pho, a well-known traditional musician in Hanoi, dubbed “king of the moon-shaped lute”, has spent his whole life expanding and restoring his priceless collection of traditional Vietnamese instruments. Next, you will visit the National Museum of Vietnam History.  The main exhibition system is the historical books of Vietnamese nationalism from the prehistory (about 300,000-400,000 years) to the August 1945 Revolution.

After your tour of the National Museum of Vietnam, you will next visit the 54 Tradition Gallery.  This is the only gallery in Vietnam focusing on the antiques, artifacts and art of Vietnam’s 53 minority groups and the Kinh majority. Just before the end of your full day of touring, you will be escorted to a nearby theater to watch the very popular Water Puppet Show.  This fantastic art form originated in northern Vietnam, and is best seen in Hanoi.

Day 14. Sun. Halong Bay.

You will be transferred from your hotel to Noi Bai Airport for your float plane to the Tuan Chau Marina in Halong Bay to board your three day, two night cruise. The float plane takes off from Hanoi’s main airport but lands on water when it arrives at Halong Bay. The first day of your cruise provides an introduction to the amazing scenery of Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.  Cruising through Halong bay will literally take your breath away.

Day 15. Mon. Au Co Cruise – Cat Ba Island.

This morning after breakfast, you will have the option to start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or enjoy the breath taking views of the bay while the ship begins slowly cruising.  Later in the morning, you will be able to visit the Vung Vieng floating fishing village by a traditional bamboo boat.  You have the option to enjoy lunch in a typical local restaurant (on your own account – or remain on board for your lunch). Later in the day, your ship will head towards Cat Ba Island for optional biking or hiking excursions through the national park of Cat Ba Island and a visit to the Au Co organic farm.

Day 16. Tue. Hanoi.

This morning enjoy a buffet brunch on board. Then we will disembark the cruise and return by private drive to Hanoi. This 3 hour drive takes us along the main highway between the bay and the capital city. Along the way ask the guide to stop and see if the locals are harvesting any rice at this time.The views are amazing of the typical rural scenes. You will also pass by the Ford Motor Plant on this stretch of the highway as we wind into the capital city and check back in to the hotel.

Reunite with your stored luggage and the rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure.

Day 17. Wed. Luang Prabang – Laos.

After breakfast, meet you your driver in the lobby for your transfer to the airport. Check in for your flight to Luang Prabang. Arrive Luang Prabang and meet your guide for transferring to your hotel. Luang Prabang is considered by many people to be the jewel in the crown of South East Asia is situated on the confluence of two rivers, the Mekong and the Nam Khane in Northern Laos.

In the afternoon you will meet your guide for an afternoon tour of the local market of the city as well as drive through and get a feel for the architecture of the town. The Phosi market is by far the biggest market in Luang Prabang. Three quarters of it is covered, there are several hundred merchants of all kinds proposing a large variety of products.

Day 18. Thu. Luang Prabang.

Starting from your hotel, we’ll drive to the Morning Market. Unlike the large grocery stores you might be familiar with back home; the food here is still produced by small farming families and villages and brought to Luang Prabang from the surrounding Northern provinces. After a short walk along the streets you will arrive at Wat Mai (“New Monastery” built in 1796). It was given its present name following the restoration undertaken in 1821 by King Manthathourat. The most striking feature of the temple is the gilded relief panels covering the front facade. The panels tell the story of the highest incarnation of the Buddha — Vessentara.

Next to Wat Mai temple is the National Museum which used to be the Royal Palace (Haw Kham). Your guide will help explain some information as you tour the museum. It houses the Royal throne of the Lane Xang kingdom in its original splendor, and many other religious treasures.

After the museum you will take another ride to visit Wat Visoun. This temple was constructed during the reign of King Visounarat around 1520. In 1942, it was turned into a Museum of Religious Arts, and houses collections of Buddha images and religious artifacts from the fourteenth century.

After a ride along the Nam Khan river we continue to one of the top temples in this region:  Wat Xieng Thong. This is one of the most important temples in the entire country of Laos and the most important one in Luang Prabang. Next we will visit Ban Xang Khong where you people can produce paper from mulberry bark tree and weaving.

Day 19. Fri. Bangkok.

The morning is free to relax and have an early lunch. Around noon time you will be transferred to the airport in time for security check and boarding of your flight to Bangkok. Once cleared immigration the representative will escort you by the hotel shuttle coach over to the airport hotel. Check in and relax and set your own wake up calls for tomorrow morning.  Check the times of the hotels complimentary transfer shuttle bus back to the terminal.

Day 20. Sat. En route

This morning, make your own way to the terminal by the hotel free shuttle every 10 to 15 minutes. Once at airport   check-in at Airline’s counter.
