Day 1 Frankfurt – Heidelberg – Frankfurt (186 km)
Arrival in Frankfurt and pick up your rental car at the airport.
Overnight: Movenpick Frankfurt City or similar.
Day 2 Frankfurt – Castle Eltz – Cologne (278 km)
2-hour walking city tour in Frankfurt (optional). Continue your trip to the fairytale castle of Eltz, tucked away in the forest above the left bank of the Moselle. After the visit you continue to Cologne. Germany´s fourth-largest city has a long list of sightseeing attractions, led by its famous Cathedral.

Day 3 Cologne – Bremen (315 km)
In the morning you can enjoy a 1.5- hour walking city tour in Cologne (optional). Drive from Cologne to Bremen. The picturesque red-brick city will take you from an unusual Art Nouveau street to a quaint district of winding medieval lanes and on to an alternative student quarter, all within minutes.

Day 4 Bremen – Hamburg (123 km)
After breakfast you drive to Hamburg. In the morning 2-hour walking city tour in Hamburg (optional). The city is internationally known for its elegant boulevards, the port, which is the second largest in Europe, and the famous neighborhood of St Pauli.
Overnight: Novotel Hamburg Alster or similar. (B)
Day 5 Hamburg – Lübeck – Gothmund – Travemünde – Lübeck (109 km)
This morning you drive to Lübeck. The former center of the powerful Hanseatic League is now merely a provincial city, albeit a very picturesque one. The small Holstentor city gate is quite stunning. In the afternoon we recommend an excursion to the Baltic Sea. On the way you will find Gothmund, a charming village lined with fishermen´s cottages, unchanged throughout time. Travemünde is a popular coastal playground with 4,5 km of sandy beaches.

Day 6 Lübeck – Potsdam – Berlin (328 km)
On the way to Berlin we recommend a stop in Potsdam to visit the Sanssouci palace and park. Drive to the main station of Berlin to return your rental car.

Day 7 Berlin
In the morning you´ll enjoy a regular city tour with audio guides. Optional: private 3-hour walking city tour. In the afternoon transfer out to the airport. (B)
