  • After arrival to Lima, you will be transferred to THE WYNDHAM COSTA DEL SOL for Check-in at Hotel.
  • Take a local flight from Lima to Cuzco.
  • Private walking tour of Cuzco. This walk is designed to get fresh air and light exercise for the afternoon, also to get adjusted to the height.
  • Visit many religious monuments at Cuzco. Also its local markets to see many artifacts and boutique artisan shops, spread along many alleys and side streets.
  • Travel along the Vilcanota valley where we will have the opportunity to visit and share the local farmer’s customs.
  • Visit the town & ruins Ollantaytamb still in the Sacred Valley, set on the Urubamba River amid snow-capped mountains.
  • Enjoy a full day at your leisure with optional activities at The Rio Sagrado Hotel in Ollantaytamb.
  • Board the famous Hiram Bingham deluxe train departing up to the town of Machu Picchu (also called Aguas Calientes).
  • Enjoy the two hour trek to the rooftop of Machu Picchu and place where the Citadel was once located along with the rest of the amazing Inca ruins.
  • Enjoy a 2nd visit for a sunrise view up at the Citadel. We will leave the hotel around 5:30am with a group of guests staying at our hotel and take the shuttle bus up to the top. View the ruins and come back down by 10:00am.
  • Go and explore the town of Machu Picchu.
  • Enjoy a panoramic tour of Lima’s colonial quarter.

Day 1. (Sunday) En Route
This afternoon make your way to the airport for your flight to Lima. No visa is required for US Citizens to visit Peru. On arrival this evening, clear immigration and collect your luggage onto a trolley and proceed to the exit where you will be welcomed to Peru and then with your luggage on trolleys walk just a few minutes to your hotel which is just outside the exit and along the sidewalk to check in to the airport hotel.

Day 2. (Monday) Lima / Airport / Cuzco
This morning have an early breakfast and then meet in the lobby checked out and ready to go. You will be met and escorted on the short walk back to the terminal and this time to the check in area for domestic flights. Check in and security and flight to Cuzco. Cuzco altitude is 11,152 feet above sea level and you will notice the air is thinner. By comparison Machu Picchu is significantly lower at 7972 feet. The city of Denver here in the USA is exactly one mile high at 5280 feet. The guide will meet everyone as you come out of the arrivals at Cuzco airport with your luggage on trolleys. Here you will be loaded into a private minivan for the short ride to the city center and your hotel. Once we arrive at the hotel around approximate 12:30pm to 1:00pm, check in and then enjoy a light lunch together on your own accounts.
High Altitude Adjustment Walk – Specifically designed to have fresh air and walk around the town of Cusco and adjust to this height. After a relaxing walk with your private guide you will be prepared for the next day to be ready to enjoy your touring through the country.
During afternoon Private walking tour of Cuzco. To help everyone adjust to the altitude, this walk is designed to get fresh air and light exercise for the afternoon. Your afternoon tour will include a walking tour of the center of Cuzco, which includes the stunning Koricancha temple. The religious complex of Coricancha (Qorikancha) in the Inca capital at Cuzco contained the Temple of the Sun which was not only the most sacred site or
huaca in the Inca religion but was considered the very center of the Inca world.
Santo Domingo Cathedral is another fine work of architecture. San Blass Town is a neighborhood in Cuzco known for its artifacts and boutique artisan shops, spread along many alleys and side streets. Enjoy the walk through the old town and the guide makes time for a quick pop into shops as we wind our way back to the hotel around 5:30pm.

Day 3. (Tuesday) Cuzco / Urubamba Valley – The Sacred Valley.
This morning after a leisurely breakfast, please be in the lobby by 9:30am, checked out and ready to go.
Your private driver and minivan, and your private guide will set out with you and drive to Urubamba, known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This lush green area of the valley is stunning with its hills, mountains and villages spread throughout the valley.
We will travel along the Vilcanota valley where we will have the opportunity to visit and share the local farmer’s customs. We will also visit the famous colorful market of Pisac (only on Tue Thu and Sat each week) the villagers come from far and wide to set up their display and then wait for the visitors to come by to purchase their hand made goods.

afternoon our guide brings us to the town & ruins Ollantaytamb still in the Sacred Valley.
Ollantaytambo is a village in the Sacred Valley of south Peru, set on the Urubamba River amid snow-capped mountains. It’s known for the massive Inca fortress with large stone terraces on a hillside. Major sites within the complex include the huge Sun Temple and the Princess Baths fountain. The village’s old town is an Inca-era grid of cobblestoned streets and adobe buildings.
Hike through the ruins with your guide as we enjoy the afternoon. Need comfortable shoes.
As the afternoon starts to fade, the guide will drive to our hotel accommodations in the heart of the Sacred Valley. The Rio Sagrado is our home for the next two nights.

Day 4. (Wednesday) Sacred Valley. (Full day free with optional resort activities)
Today is a day off, however, we can make reservations with the hotel and you can enjoy the following which we will set up and you can pay directly to the hotel for these optional activities. This is a fun lead up to our hiking Machu Picchu.

Day 5. (Thursday) Sacred Valley / Ollanta / Hiram Bingham Train / Machu Picchu.
This morning have an early light breakfast and please be in the lobby checked out by 9:30am, your driver will arrive and escort you to the Ollanta Station which is in the Sacred Valley. Here you will board the famous Hiram Bingham deluxe train now departing up to the town of Machu Picchu (also called Aguas Calientes). This almost 2 hour journey winds up the mountains with gorgeous views from the comfort of your reserved seats. You will also have a sumptuous brunch on board. Hiram Bingham III was an American academic, explorer and politician. He made public the existence of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu in 1911 with the guidance of local indigenous farmers.
After brunch the train arrives at Aguas Calientes the last town before we make it to the Citadel and ruins at the top. (Aguas Calientes has now changed its name to the town of Machu Picchu).
Between 12:30pm – 1:00pm Transfer by vehicle to start of trek. We will disembark the train and our private guide meets us on the platform, who will secure your group luggage and send it to the hotel. You will be transferred by mini-van across the river to the starting point of the trek to the top. Two hour trek to the rooftop of Machu Picchu and place where the Citadel was once located along with the rest of the amazing Inca ruins. You will be escorted on this hike by a guide.
Be Prepared – The weather in this region of Peru can often be un-predictable any time of the year, so you must be prepared with clothing for rain and sun. A light weight rain coat or poncho and sun protection is advised. Take a bottle of water with you (from the guide in the vehicle).
Check list: –
(1) 1 bottle of water.
(2) Sun hat, sun glasses & sun block.
(3) Strong insect repellent with deet as ingredient.
(4) Light weight rain inexpensive plastic throw away poncho.
(5) Camera
At the top, first a washroom break and then your guide will escort you on a stunning 1 & ½ hour visit as you explore the ruins at the top.
At 4:00pm, your guide will bring you over to the Sanctuary Lodge where all Hiram Bingham passengers have tea and snacks for high tea. This tea and sandwich break is included at the Sanctuary lodge. At 4:45pm, we must be at the minibus line as we board the minibuses with our guide and ride down to the bottom reaching in about 20 minutes.

Day 6. (Friday) Machu Picchu / Cuzco.
This morning enjoy a 2nd visit for a sunrise view up at the Citadel. We leave the hotel around 5:30am with a group of guests staying at our hotel and take the shuttle bus up to the top. View the ruins and come back down by 10:00am. Time to freshen up and check out of the hotel required by 11:00am. Then enjoy lunch at the hotel on your own account.
At 2:00pm to 4:30pm, you have the afternoon off to go and explore the town of Machu Picchu on your own. Keep an eye on the time as you need to be back in time to meet the escort who will bring us to the Train station in time for boarding our train back down to Cuzco.
THE GUIDE WILL GIVE YOU DEFINITE TIME TO BE BACK AT HOTEL FOR TRAIN DEPARTURE walk to the station. Board the Hiram Bingham train back to Cuzco.
On arrival at Poroy Station near Cuzco, you will be privately transferred back to your hotel.
Dinner on board the Hiram Bingham Train is included this evening.

Day 7. (Saturday) Cuzco / Lima / Return Home
After breakfast this morning you will check out of your hotel and meet your driver in the lobby, from here you will be transferred to the local airport for your flight to Lima. On arrival you will be met and transferred to one of the finest restaurants in Lima, Huaca Pucllana, for lunch on your own account. Your luggage will be safely stored in the tour vehicle.
From 1:00pm to 2:30pm – Lunch break on your own account at Huaca Pucllana. The cuisine of the Huaca Pucllana stands out for its devotion to using local products of the best available quality- Without sacrificing its creatives freedom- a well understood simplicity and the care of adequate cooking procedures, enhancing the flavors instead of downplaying them. After lunch your guide will take you on a panoramic tour of Lima’s Colonial Quarter. The Historic Centre of Lima bears witness to the architecture and urban development of a Spanish colonial town of great political, economic and cultural importance in Latin America. End the tour at Larco Herrera Museum. Here you have an hour to explore the museum and then enjoy a light dinner in the Museum café on your own account.
Re-board your vehicle with your guide and you will be transferred to the airport for your international flights home. Your guide will say goodbye as you check in for your flights.

Arrive into USA this morning where you will make your way home.
