The Magic of The Black Forest
CULTURAL CLASSIC
Enjoy one week visiting the cities in or around The Black Forest. This tour has Thermal baths, Casinos, open air museums, romantically located hotels, cuckoo clocks and of course the Black Forest.
- Arrival to Frankfurt. After check in the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the city.
- Visit to Heidelberg and Baden – Baden.
- Visit to Freudenstadt via the high route through the Black Forest. Visit includes the fascinating “Vogsbauernhof”, an open-air museum.
- Visit to Freiburg. In the afternoon we will continue to the heart of The Black Forest, including a walk to the beautiful Ravenna Gorge.
- Visit to the Cuckoo clock visitor center. Next, visit to an small farm for tasting local made cheese. Around noontime visit to Lake Titi.
- Return to Frankfurt and check in in Frankfurt airport hotel with evening at your leisure.

(Thursday) Day 1: International Flights – USA to Frankfurt
Overnight: En Route
(Friday) Day 2: Frankfurt
Arrival at Frankfurt airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore at your leisure. Frankfurt is the financial and commercial heart of Germany, with a fascinating contrast between the modern and historic parts of the city. Overnight: Hotel Mövenpick Frankfurt City or similar.
(Saturday) Day 3: Frankfurt – Heidelberg – Baden- Baden
In the morning you travel to Heidelberg to visit the famous castle, followed by a tour of the historic city center. Idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River, Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country. Then continue to Baden- Baden, the former summer residence of the European nobility and worldwide known for its thermal baths. Another attraction is the casino, at the foot of the black forest. Overnight: Leonardo Royal Hotel Baden Baden or similar. (B-D)
(Sunday) Day 4:Baden-Baden – High Route through the Black Forest – Vogtsbauernhöfe – Freiburg
Travel to Freudenstadt via the high route through the Black Forest, one of the most scenic tourist routes in Germany. This route offers spectacular views of the Rhine valley and the Vosges Mountains in the background. The drive includes stunning landscapes such as Mummel Lake. Visit the fascinating “Vogtsbauernhof” open-air museum, for an overview of the history and culture of the Black Forest. The authentic displays give a wonderful impression of the traditional architecture and economy of Black Forest region. Then continue the tour to lovely Freiburg. Overnight: Hotel Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthaus or similar. (B)
(Monday) Day 5: Freiburg – Breitnau
In the morning visit Freiburg, famous for its beautiful church tower. In the afternoon continue to the heart of the Black Forest, where we will have an authentic experience this night: Enjoy a typical Black Forest dinner and overnight in a romantically located hotel. If you like, take a little walk to the beautiful Ravenna Gorge or see the region’s oldest chapel, both are next to the hotel. Overnight: Best Western Hotel Hofgut Sternen or similar. (B)
(Tuesday) Day 6: Breitnau – Lake Titi – Frankfurt
After breakfast our first stop is the cuckoo clock visitor center to learn more about these traditional clocks. Next we visit a traditional small farm where you may sample delicious local cheeses and see what life is like in the Black Forest. Around noon we arrive at Lake Titi and then continue to Frankfurt airport. The program ends at Frankfurt airport, here you will check into your airport hotel with the evening at leisure.
Overnight: Airport Hotel to be advised. (B)
(Wednesday) Day 7: Walk / take the shuttle to the terminal and proceed to your flights home
