Day 4 Graz – Lake District – Salzburg (368 km)
Continue to the Lake District and ascend Mount Zwölferhorn by cable car to enjoy wonderful views over the Lake Wolfgang (not included). Drive to the city of Salzburg, where the genius composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born.

Day 5 Salzburg
After breakfast 2-hour walking city tour in Salzburg (optional). Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria. The city offers the perfect combination of a picturesque mountain setting and a beautifully preserved old town. The historic centre is dominated by many church spires, medieval fortresses and the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress. The spirit of Mozart still permeates the city.

Day 6 Salzburg – Linz (132 km)
Continue to Linz, a picturesque town on the banks of the Danube River. 2-hour walking city tour in Linz (optional). Experience the city’s economic and cultural history, amaze at the highlights of the European Capital of Culture 2009.

Day 7 Linz – Dürnstein – Melk – Vienna (245 km)
After breakfast continue to the village of Dürnstein, nestled in the heart of the magnificent Wachau Valley. The charming town of Dürnstein offers the unique combination of a breathtaking scenery and traditional architecture. It was in the Kuenringer Castle, whose ruins still overlook Dürnstein, that the English King Richard Lionheart was held prisoner. Drive to Melk for a short visit to the famous Abbey. Next you drive to Vienna to return your rental car at the Vienna airport. (B)
