  • full day sightseeing tour of New Zealand’s Capital Wellington.  This morning your guide will introduce you to the city by visiting some of the local sights. Today’s highlights include Courtenay Place, the entertainment hub of Wellington; Oriental Bay; the spectacular views from Mount Victoria; Basin Reserve; quirky Cuba Street and Lambton Quay.  Here you will board the famous Wellington Cable Car (tickets included) for a ride to the upper terminus – appreciate more spectacular views at the top and visit the Wellington Botanical Garden.
  • Visit to Akaroa. Take your time to soak in the magic of this little piece of paradise. Nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano, you will find the largest little penguin colonies on mainland New Zealand.
  • Visit Burnie. There where you will learn about the cheese produced in the dairy country that surrounds Birnie. Your next stop will be the House of Anvers, a sweet shop that a Belgium confectioner founded in 1989. The confectioners here use Tasmania’s extraordinary cream and butter to produce wonderfully rich chocolates, truffles, fudges and other sweets.
  • Visit the bushland of You Yangs Park. The park is home to a healthy population of wild Koalas, which we research and monitor to ensure the best possible sightings. Walk with wild animals in their natural habitats on this full day, fully inclusive private eco-tour, led by an experienced Wildlife Guide. Walk through natural bushland to meet wild koalas, then learn about each one’s history and social life from your Wildlife Guide and Koala Researcher.
  • Visit Melbourne. Board your luxurious vehicle and travel along Beaconsfield Parade and onto the beachside playground of St Kilda. Stop for a photo with the iconic smile of Luna Park, the Palais Theatre and the bohemian locals who call this bayside Drive with its superb views of Melbourne’s skyline.
  • Continue by vehicle as your private guide will then take you onto explore Melbourne’s famous laneways and arcades including colorful Hosier Lane, The Block Arcade, Centre Place, and more.
  • Visit Eden, the southernmost town in New South Wales, nestled between two glorious bays and perched on rolling hills bounded by dramatic cliffs and expansive sandy beaches. Eden’s whaling legacy lives on in its exciting whale-watching opportunities and the fascinating Killer Whale Museum.

Continue on your flight to Sydney, crossing the International Date Line.

Day 3. Fri. Sydney.

After arriving to Sydney and cleared immigration you will meet your private driver and his minivan to load and transfer to the hotel. Once checked-in you will enjoy a “GET OVER JET LAG tour” of Sydney. Heading through the city we shortly arrive at Mrs Macquarie’s Point, situated within the Royal Botanical Gardens. Your guide will walk you through this part of the gardens for outstanding views the harbor and the Sydney Opera House. through the glamorous Eastern Suburbs passing by Double Bay, Rose Bay and Vaucluse arriving at The Gap. We make a stop here for amazing views to the entrance to Sydney Harbor. Turning south now we continue on to the iconic Bondi Beach. It is also the name of the surrounding suburb of Sydney. Enjoy the atmosphere at one of Australia’s best known beaches.

Day 4. Sat. Sydney.

Today you will join others from around the world for this unique experience as you make your way over catwalks, ladders and arches to the summit 134 meters above the water. The stunning 360 degree view of the world’s most beautiful harbor is a magic moment that is waiting for you.  Later, Discover the stories, history and magic of Sydney Opera House with an incredible guided tour taking you underneath the world famous sails. Step inside the inspired theaters where more than 1600 performances come to life each year, and learn how Danish architect Jorn Utzon’s ground-breaking design and vision for a world class performing arts space came into existence. At the completion of your tour you are escorted to the Dining area for your included dinner. After dinner you will then be directed to your entrance to the seats, enjoy a presentation of Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Day 5. Sun. Sydney.

Treat yourself to Sydney Harbor’s most sensational cruise. A unique, luxury four hour cruise experience. Enjoy the company of a small group aboard a 52 foot motor yacht. Tour harbor attractions, including Darling Harbor, Sydney Opera House & Harbor Bridge. But with the small group experience you can also take advantage of our local knowledge; from the history of Garden Island, to socialite attractions such as Russel Crowe & Aussie John’s harbor side houses (see the largest private property on the Harbor). Return to the Campbell’s Cover pier and you can go for a walk or take a taxi on your own account back to your hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure. Lunch is served on board the yacht today. Evening is free at leisure.

Day 6. Mon. Sydney.

Load the vehicle and set out on a morning excursion outside the city to the famous Blue Mountains. We head west\wards across the coastal plain we make our way to the Great Dividing Range of Australia. The Blue Mountains are only an hour and half driving time from Sydney.Our first stop will be in the quaint village of Leura, otherwise known as the ‘Garden Village’, here you will enjoy a light morning tea and coffee. Then we re-board our sprinter and continue our drive and visit some scenic lookouts to view the Blue Mountains: King’s Tableland, Eagle Hawk and Narrow Neck lookout, enjoy the stunning sights of the Three Sisters as you overlook the magnificent Jamison Valley. We drive back to Sydney with a special stop at Featherdale. At Featherdale Wildlife Park, enjoy a unique wildlife experience within the Sydney metropolitan area! You will have a private ranger for your visit to the park.

Day 7. Tue. Auckland.

Very early this morning you will check-out of your hotel and your driver will transfer to the airport for your flight to Auckland, New Zealand. Once there you will be privately trasferred to the Hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to self-explore the local environs. It is a very short walk from the Hilton to the downtown shops nearby.

Day 8. Wed. Auckland.

Take a 4 hour sightseeing tour of Auckland city. Highlights include, Queen Street; the panoramic views of the city and surround harbors from Bastion Point, the pretty bays of the Waterfront Drive, and Mission Bay. Also enjoy a private tour of the Auckland Museum which was built as a memorial to New Zealand’s war dead who sacrificed their lives in WWI, WWII and other conflicts.  Although one might think it is all about war, it is not. It is a testimony to all things New Zealand, there are many wings featuring the culture of NZ, the wildlife, art, fish, priceless collections and so on. Afterwards visit the Sky Tower, the tallest tower in New Zealand, featuring 4 observation decks and a revolving restaurant. After your tour, your driver guide will transfer you to your cruise ship which is also docked next to your Hilton Hotel, centrally located on the Prices Wharf.

Day 9. Thu. Tauraga/Rotoura.

This morning disembark and meet your private driver at the pier and enjoy a private full day excursion to Rotorua and Rainbow Springs. Located in the heart of New Zealand’s famous thermal region, Rotorua forms part of the geologically active ‘Pacific Rim of Fire’.  Situated on the shores of Lake Rotorua, it is also renowned for Maori cultural activities.  Visit the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute where young Maori are learning the traditional carving and weaving skills of their ancestors.  Further highlights of the tour include Rotowhio Marae and Te Aronui a Rua, the sacred meeting house of Rotowhio Marae. Enjoy a 45-minute performance of Maori song and dance.  A traditional karanga will welcome you to the meeting house where surrounded by the beautiful wooden carvings of Maori ancestors, you will be treated to harmonies, the seductive poi dance, the ferocious haka (war challenge), and the complex tititorea (stick games).  Afterwards see the magnificent geothermal activity in the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley.  Whilst in the valley see the boiling mud pools, steaming silica terraces, hot springs and geysers including the famous Pohutu Geyser which can erupt up to 30 metres high, depending on its mood.  Continue your drive nearby to nearby Rainbow Springs, set amidst beautiful native bush with meandering crystal clear freshwater streams and deep fern fringed pools, Rainbow Springs is a showcase of New Zealand’s natural flora and fauna. Kiwis, Natural springs and lots of fresh Trout are some of the other famous views here in the natural habittat of this park.

Day 10. Fri. Napier.

This morning after breakfast, disembark the cruise and meet your driver who is waiting for you with one of Napier’s classic cars. Incredibly comfortable are these classic cars – with 4 guests, we have one in front seat with the driver and 3 of you in back seat. Relax and sit back for a fun day in Napier. Later, visit Clear view Winery where you will enjoy a hike / walk around the winery through the vineyards. Return to the main reception and begin tastings of their wines followed by a barrel platter cheeseboard showcasing locally produced cheeses, in house breads and chutneys. Next you will visit Elephant Hill Winery which has breath taking views across the Pacific Ocean and Vineyard. Here the driver guide will let the winery know we have arrived and then lead everyone on a hike and walk through this unique winery. During afternoon visit Craggy Range Winery situated at the base of the spectacular Te Mata Peak. Taste some of their wines at the Cellar Door and enjoy a platter in the courtyard before a visit through the Giants Vineyard and gardens with your driver.  Craggy Range produces a collection of iconic wines from multiple regions in New Zealand. Owner Terry Peabody and his family pursued the single vineyard approach to winemaking, planting on green fields and bare land ensuring a focus on quality from the very beginning.

Day 11. Sat. Wellington.

This morning you will be collected by private minivan and driver/guide for a full day sightseeing tour of New Zealand’s Capital Wellington.  This morning your guide will introduce you to the city by visiting some of the local sights. Today’s highlights include Courtenay Place, the entertainment hub of Wellington; Oriental Bay; the spectacular views from Mount Victoria; Basin Reserve; quirky Cuba Street and Lambton Quay.  Here you will board the famous Wellington Cable Car (tickets included) for a ride to the upper terminus – appreciate more spectacular views at the top and visit the Wellington Botanical Garden. Next we continue the tour as your guide will show you the Parliament buildings and the Tinakori Historic Precinct which contains some of Wellington’s oldest colonial style houses, situated close to antique shops, galleries and bistros. We will make our way to the TE PAPA which is a must see  in Wellington – visit Te Papa for a ‘Fabulous Te Papa’ for a private guided tour.  This ninety-minute tour + 1 hour free time will focus on the treasures or ‘taonga’ of Te Papa’s extensive collection.  Time also to explore Te Papa independently to learn about the shaping of its land, the spirit of its diverse peoples, its unique wildlife, landscapes and its distinctive popular culture.

Day 12. Sun. Akaroa.

Take your time to soak in the magic of this little piece of paradise. Nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano, you will find the largest little penguin colonies on mainland New Zealand. Your day begins with a coach ride directly into Canterbury Plains, the largest area of flat land in New Zealand. Lying between the mountains and sea, the fertile farmland looks like a patchwork quilt of earthen colors that reflect the crops grown here, which include wheat, herbs and sunflowers, punctuated by pastures of grass for grazing. Once here you’ll enjoy discovering Rubicon and Mt Torlesse Station in a 4×4 touring vehicle. After enjoying an exciting 4×4 adventure you will stop for lunch. Following lunch, the excitement continues with a lighting fast jet boat ride where you’ll be treated to an entirely different view of the magnificent high country.

day 13. Mon. Dunedin.

Discover the rugged, beautiful Otago Peninsula, filled with geological wonders, and gaze in awe at the great albatross with its 10-foot wingspan. Leaving the ship, you’ll begin your tour with a picturesque drive past the charming towns of Sawyer’s Bay, Roseneath and St. Leonard’s, which all rest along the shores of beautiful Otago Harbor. Your drive then continues along the craggy coastline to Natures Wonders, located just beyond Taiaroa Head. Arriving at the Center’s Reception area, you’ll board, an 8-wheel drive vehicle (Argo), built specifically to take you places that are normally inaccessible, or a mini coach, to start your tour of the farm. Stop along your route at the mythical Maui’s Footprint location which offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Otago Peninsula. Continuing on, you’ll find a breeding colony of New Zealand Fur seals. It’s a definite treat to watch them in their natural habitat, basking on the rocks and swimming in the pools. Arriving once more in Dunedin, your coach will take you on a brief tour of some of the city’s highlights before returning to the pier.

Day 17. Fri. Burnie

After departing from the Pier, you will soon arrive at eh Maker’s Workshop, where you will learn about the cheese produced in the dairy country that surrounds Burnie. The exact cheeses for sampling vary daily, but you may taste a sharp cheddar, creamy Camembert and distinctly flavored Parmesan. Your next stop will be the House of Anvers, a sweet shop that a Belgium confectioner founded in 1989. The confectioners here use Tasmania’s extraordinary cream and butter to produce wonderfully rich chocolates, truffles, fudges and other sweets. The perfect accompaniment to these indulgences is a tasting of locally produced wines, which you will enjoy at a boutique winery nearby. Depending on where you stop, you may sample a deep-garnet Shiraz with a nose of mulberry, a light Pinot Grigio, or a fruity Rose. Like the culinary treats you will sample the wines reflect the local conditions, which are considered optimal for growing grapes. Following your sampling, you will be transferred back to the Pier.

Day 18. Sat. Geelong

This morning after breakfast, disembark and meet your private driver. You will be escorted in a private Minivan on a full day tour. Depart Geelong to travel just 25 minutes to the bushland of You Yangs Park. The park is home to a healthy population of wild Koalas, which we research and monitor to ensure the best possible sightings. Walk with wild animals in their natural habitats on this full day, fully inclusive private eco-tour, led by an experienced Wildlife Guide. Walk through natural bushland to meet wild koalas, then learn about each one’s history and social life from your Wildlife Guide and Koala Researcher. After lunch, we travel just 10 minutes to Serendip National Park. Often our entrance is heralded by the screeching of Cockatoos or the chattering of Honeyeaters. We drive, then walk through the gum trees and across grasslands in search of wild mobs of Eastern Grey Kangaroos. They are wild and secretive, and we often walk quietly along kangaroo tracks, using trees and bushes as shelter. Sometimes we find them before they see us, and we can watch completely natural kangaroo social behavior.Later, join wild mobs of Kangaroos on the plains and in open forests. Their natural instinct is to flee humans, but with care we often get close enough to take photographs and observe their complex social life. We also look out for curious Emus, and take a short walk to the billabong, home to large populations of water birds.

Day 19. Sun. Melbourne.

Board your luxurious vehicle and travel along Beaconsfield Parade and onto the beachside playground of St Kilda. Stop for a photo with the iconic smile of Luna Park, the Palais Theatre and the bohemian locals who call this bayside Drive with its superb views of Melbourne’s skyline. Enjoy a private Cycle Tour of Melbourne and the highlights of cycle tour will include: The Yarra River area. The Shrine of Remebrace & Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne Cricket Ground & Sports Precinct, Parliament House, Hotel Windsor & Treasury Building, Royal Exhibition Building and Brunswick Street Fitzory. During the Bike ride, your guide will organize a stop for morning tea. Continue by vehicle as your private guide will then take you onto explore Melbourne’s famous laneways and arcades including colorful Hosier Lane, The Block Arcade, Centre Place, and more. Then, your private guide will introduce you to the eccentric stallholders of the meat and deli halls where you can sample the local produce, perhaps enjoy an afternoon coffee or browse for Australian souvenirs.  It is a wonderful visit on a weekend to visit this market.

Day 21. Tue. Eden.

Formerly a whaling hub in the 19th century, Eden is the southernmost town in New South Wales, nestled between two glorious bays and perched on rolling hills bounded by dramatic cliffs and expansive sandy beaches. Eden’s whaling legacy lives on in its exciting whale-watching opportunities and the fascinating Killer Whale Museum. At the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre, towering lighthouses and the scenic coastline keep the focus firmly on the ever-changing sea. Eden’s name says it all. The surrounding area is relatively undeveloped wit long stretches of white and sand dense forests that blankets the hills. As you skirt along the river’s shoreline, you will no doubt catch glimpses of some of the local wildlife, including a variety of birds. Midway through your exploration, you’ll stop for morning tea, served on a sandy riverbank with a snack, fresh fruit and your choice of brewed coffee, specialty tea or juice. The experience of kayaking around Eden is wonderfully fulfilling since you will paddle along at your own pace as you enjoy the scenery. After approximately 3 hours on the water, you will return to the pier.

Day 21. Wed. En route.

This morning you will arrive and be transferred to the airport in time for check in. You will be boarding your non-stop flight from Sydney to the United States. On arrival, clear immigration, then collect your luggage from the carousel and proceed through customs. Then place your bags back on the belt and make your way to your connecting flight back to your final destination.
