Europe was the epicenter for the WWII and the Cold War. This 8 days / 7 nights package will take you to some of the most important and iconic places during both periods confrontation.
Day 1 Munich
After breakfast visit the city of Munich and its most important monuments like the Cathedral of the Virgin, whose Italian domes can be seen from many miles away; and the Marienplatz, the geographic and social heart of Munich. During this tour you also experience important landmarks of Nazi influence before WWII, including a tour of the Putsch at Feldherrnhalle, and the sites of the former Nazi Headquarters and the Königsplatz where the Nazi Party‘s mass rallies were held.

Day 2 Munich – Berchtesgaden – Munich
In the morning you travel to Berchtesgaden and explore this beautiful, traditional bavarian village. Then you visit the “Eagle‘s Nest“, which was built as a present for Hitler‘s 50th birthday. The region of Berchtesgaden later served as an important strategic objective for the Allied forces in World War II. Return to Munich.

Day 3 Munich – Dachau – Nuremberg
Visit the Dachau Concentration Camp, a memorial in honor of the Nazi victims. This site teaches us more about the daily lives of the victims during the period of the holocaust. Continue to Nuremberg.

Day 4 Nuremberg
Explore Nuremberg to relive world history with a visit to Courtroom 600 where the Nazi trials were held. You will also visit the Documentation Center, the striking museum at the site of the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds.

Day 5 Nuremberg – Prague
After breakfast travel to enchanting Prague to explore the history of the Cold War. Enjoy a fascinating city tour of Prague, including all the important Cold War landmarks and locations that played a major role in the Velvet Revolution.

Day 6 Prague – Dresden
This morning you’ll travel to Dresden; visit the most significant Cold War sites in this former East-German industrial center. Vladimir Putin, the current president of Russia, was stationed in Dresden by the KGB for 5 years. See the building of the former KGB headquarters in Dresden.

Day 7 Dresden – Berlin
After breakfast travel to Berlin and visit the House of the Wannsee Conference. This house was used from 1941 to 1945 by the SS as a conference centre and guest house. Rest of the day free at your leisure to explore Berlin, the impulsive city. The capital of Germany is the artistic center of the country with a large number of museums, art galleries and theater shows.

Day 8 Berlin
In 2002 Berlin celebrated the anniversary of the peaceful revolution and the fall of the Berlin Wall. These events caused a profound change in the world. The fall of the Berlin Wall marked the end of the Cold War. On this tour you will visit places that played a role in these events in the autumn of 1989. Experience these events during a tour in Berlin with its most significant Cold War landmarks, like the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, Checkpoint Charlie’s East Side Gallery and more. (B)
