CULTURAL VACATIONS & SAFARIS – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

REGISTRATION & RESERVATIONS

A deposit of $500.00 per person is required at the time of
registration. The balance is payable 60 days prior to departure
date. We reserve the right to request higher deposits if the client
chooses special services, trains or products where a larger deposit
is required. If a reservation is made within 60 days of the
beginning of travel, the entire amount is to be submitted at time
of the reservation. All tour participants must complete, sign
and date a tour registration form and agree to these tour terms
and conditions to validate and participate in any tour reservation
with Cultural Vacations & Safaris Inc.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS / TOUR FORMS

All tour participants making payments by credit card agree
that by signing credit card authorization, they agree to the tour
terms and conditions in this brochure or tailor made itinerary,
and not to request any charge backs on the card until any disputed
matters are resolved with Cultural Vacations & Safaris Inc &
Cultural Vacations.com

LAND ARRANGEMENTS INCLUDE HOTELS

Deluxe, First Class, 3 and 4 star and best available are indicated
in tour packages featured in the itineraries based on a
minimum of two persons traveling and sharing a room with
private facilities. Categories assigned to hotels are the opinions
of the tour operator and are selected based on location among
other criteria. The right is reserved to substitute accommodations
of a similar category when necessary.

MEALS

If included, they are indicated in the itineraries as follows:
B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner.

TRANSFERS & SIGHTSEEING

All airport/hotel transfers are included in all tour packages except
for the Maldives where a choice of prices is given between
jet boat transfer or air taxi. Tailor made itineraries may reflect
your own way to and from hotels. Please refer to the itinerary.
Brochure transfers take place when arriving and departing at
all destinations on the scheduled dates of printed brochure or
pre-arranged dates for custom made or tailor made itineraries
when it states transfers are included. Sightseeing is included as
per each program’s day to day itinerary listed.

TAXES, ENTRANCE FEES & GRATUITIES

Hotel taxes and service charges as imposed by governments
are included. Entrance fees to National Parks, museums
and places of interest are included as listed in each itinerary.
Gratuities are at the clients discretion. The USA and other
countries taxes for air travel is not included. Some countries
taxes may be collected at the destination when boarding
your flights.

BAGGAGE HANDLING

The handling of one piece of checked baggage per person.
29″ x 20″ x 20″, not to exceed 44 lbs is included. Some
internal light aircraft flights in Africa, the Maldives, within
China or other countries may have other lesser weight restrictions.
Baggage and personal effects are carried at the
owner’s risk. Please note the risk of leaving them alone.
Baggage insurance is strongly recommended.
NOT INCLUDED IN LAND PRICE
International air transportation when it is stated not included
in your itinerary. Excess baggage charges. forwarding of
baggage and purchases. Passport and visa fees and medical
charges for inoculations. Items of a personal nature such as
laundry, beverages, meals not included on programs,
telephone/cable/fax charges. Baggage, trip cancellation and
personal insurance. Airport taxes, airline insurance or fuel
charges, Gratuities which are of a personal nature to
naturalists, guides, escorts, drivers, baggage handlers, boat
operators. Etc.

CHILDREN

Under the age 12, children sharing accommodations with 2
adults share a triple room. Each tour will be checked for any
discount if not already listed in the charts. Children are not
permitted at some lodges and accommodations if and where
suppliers indicate.

SIZE OF GROUP – THE SINGLE TRAVELER

We guarantee departures and by doing so, from time to time
there may be only one or more persons on any tour. If you are
traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, every effort
will be made to find you a comparable roommate. However,
we cannot guarantee your compatibility with that choice found.
We do this as a courtesy for you to save money.

TAILOR OR CUSTOM MADE ITINERARIES

Any tour package that is custom / tailor made to any Destination
are subject to these terms and conditions.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Each passenger must be in possession of a valid current passport
which has not expired and is valid for at least six months from
the date of your departure, round-trip airline ticket, and adequate
funds for the duration of the stay. Obtaining a passport is the
responsibility of each passenger. Details of visa requirements
will be given at time of reservations or with your pre-trip
information packet. You must obtain your own visas to any
country that requires a visa before arrival. Ask your travel agent,
visa service, or appropriate consulate for assistance with
obtaining visas to your intended destinations.

INSURANCE: BAGGAGE, HEALTH / TRIP CANCELLATION –
AT TIME OF RESERVATION:

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. A comprehensive
policy is available from Cultural Vacations & Safaris and details
will be automatically sent to each passenger who indicates and
confirms the purchase of Insurance with your tour deposit.
Sample policies will be sent upon request. Please call for
Insurance prices:

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

All requests to cancel must be in writing. Full refund minus a
$200.00 per person handling charge will be made if cancellation
is received in writing no less than 61 days prior to departure,
plus any prepaid deposits/penalties made to suppliers. If any
rail, cruise or airline has any further penalty, these will be
deducted and advised to you in writing. Thereafter, the following
fees will be imposed based on the number of days prior to
departure: Up to 61 days prior to departure: $ 200 per person
penalty. From 60 days to 45 days prior to departure 50 % of the
tour costs per person are non refundable. 44-30 days: 75% of
the tour costs per person are non refundable – 29 to 0 days –
100% of the tour costs per person are non refundable. In the
event you are traveling during a peal travel period at the
destination(s) the deposits and final payments are non refundable
and the above list of penalties do not apply. No refund can be
made for any tour accommodations, tour service, or tour feature
that you do not utilize and if you cancel while the tour is in
progress, no refunds will be made for any unused portions.
Cultural Vacations & Safaris will not be liable for any claims
reported past 30 days of the last day our service was provided.
Your signature on tour participation application accepts these
terms & conditions.

TOUR PRICES

The tour cost includes our planning, handling and all operational
charges. Prices are based on tariffs and exchange rates effective
at time of printing or tailor made itinerary is presented. In the
event of severe currency fluctuation or tariff increase the cost
listed herein are subject to increase. Land prices are guaranteed
once deposit is received. Tariffs are established over many years
and are confidential. No itemized costs or price breakdowns
are provided prior, during or after a tour is completed. Late
payments are subject to penalties and or cancellation of
arrangements.

ALTERATIONS TO TOURS & ACCEPTANCE

Cultural Vacations & Safaris, in its absolute discretion, reserves
the right to alter any route or other arrangements; offer substitutes,
or to completely cancel the whole or any portion of a
tour, should conditions necessitate. The right is also reserved
to decline the acceptance of any person as a member of a tour
should the presence of that person be prejudicial to the good
conduct of the tour, or be contrary to the prevailing laws of the
country visited and that person may be asked to leave a tour en
route if such a situation arises without compensation.

AIR TRANSPORTATION RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY

Round-trip economy-class air transportation via any IATA or
ARC carrier or charter flight if applicable. Airlines and airlines
schedules are subject to change without prior notice, at
the sole discretion of the issuing carriers. Air Tax and airline
insurance surcharges are additional. The sole and exclusive
responsibility and liability of any carrier used in these tours,
shall be in accordance with and as limited by the contract of
carriage in the passengers ticket, the applicable tariffs, and the
provisions of the Warsaw Convention, if applicable. Carrier
used shall not be responsible or liable for any act, omission, or
occurrence during the time passengers are not on board its
airplanes. All tours, services, and transportation (other than
air) are furnished by contractors that are independent and that
do not act for or on behalf of the carrier, nor are they servants of
the same, and neither do they have any business relationship,
as joint ventures or otherwise. Further, the carrier shall not be
responsible or liable in any way for the accuracy of any
representations of the tour operator and its agents on tours or
tour services.

TOUR OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY
CULTURAL VACATIONS & SAFARIS, INC.

(d/b/a Cultural or Cultural Vacations.Com and associated companies make arrangements
on your behalf for hotel, lodge, camp, spa, health
resort and other accommodations, for transport and conveyance
by whatever means, as Travel Agents, on the express condition
that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss,
accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by
reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through the acts of defaults
of any Company or person engaged in conveying the
passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tours, or
otherwise in connection therewith, or any hotel/lodge proprietary
or servant. Cultural Vacations and associated companies
accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due
to delays or changes in train, steamer, motor, air or other services,
sickness, weather, strikes, civil disturbances, war, quarantine,
force majeur, or other causes. All such losses or expenses
will have to be borne by each passenger. Such conveyance,
etc. is subject to the laws of the country in which the tour
takes place and all claims are subject only to jurisdiction of
courts of the country in which the cause of action arises. Cultural
Vacations and associated companies reserves the right to
employ sub-contractors to carry out all, or part, of the services
provided and in the event of such right utilized, the terms and
clauses above relating to the company’s limit of liability shall
apply. Disputes or any other claims are solely heard in the city
of Longwood in the state of Florida where Cultural Vacations
& Safaris operates.
